TIJUANA.- Through an Advisory Committee Session held this morning, authorities of the Pacific Airport Group (GAP, in Spanish) disclosed that during the first quarter of 2017 a new direct flight from Tijuana to Beijing will start.
According to El Sol de Tijuana, Hainan Airlines confirmed it is launching a new route from this border city to the Chinese capital, part of a longer term project.
This is intended to increase the number of travelers and visits. The investment in infrastructure will be around 800 million pesos (around $50,000 USD) and at the moment, any more information about the flights is unknown.
