El Sultán Takes Over Margarita's Village in Tijuana

Awesome mixology and a great theme

TIJUANA.- Avenida Revolucion is an internationally famous street, is no stranger to change. It's normal to see the coming and going of night clubs, stores and businesses. And sadly, "La revu" (as locals call it) even lost its spark for a while due to violence and economic turmoil in the last decade. Fortunately, everything has changed again, this time for the better.

In recent years, this street has come back to life with new spaces or new concepts for abandoned establishments, which had been the inspiration for many entrepreneurs; however, there are also cases in which a very known place changes to be an even better one, and this is what happened with "El Sultan."

This new bar is located on Avenida Revolucion, between 2nd and 4th street. Before being "El Sultan", the place was the old and traditional "Margaritas Village."

This new concept feels like a breath of fresh air -literally- because it has a beautiful terrace with a direct view to Avenida Revolucion. The most interesting things about "El Sultan" are the food and the really eccentric mixology, because even though they serve some regional craft beer options, what's really outstanding are the drinks of mixologist and brewer, Sergio Michel.

On the list you'll find 10 different drinks welcoming you, and you'll be treated as a real Sultan (hence, the name, say the owners). Among these, you'll find the exceptional drink of the house, which is a mix of chocolate, cinnamon, and tequila... exquisite. San Pancho is a traditional spicy drink with tequila, and the exotic Tentaciones is an infusion of chai tea and gin.

There are drinks that don't appear in the menu, but they will be randomly selected every week, so you'll have a different option to taste every time.

"El Sultan" is located in Ave. Revolución # 967, Zona Centro., 22000 Tijuana, Mexico.
