Cine Tonalá is Opening This Saturday in Tijuana

Cinema, bar, and restaurant

There's this abandoned spot at Revolucion Av. in Tijuana that was nothing but "greyness" every time you passed by, until recently, when a project gave this space the chance to shine by transforming it into a new concept called Cine Tonalá.

The third location in Mexico of this Latin American project is in Tijuana, and it will have two movie rooms, one outdoors and the other one indoors with a 90 people capacity. Cine Tonalá will also have a restaurant with the best local cuisine and a bar with some of the finest craft beers of the region.

This weekend is the opening event, and movies such as "Te prometo Anarquía" (I promise you Anarchy, 2015), and "Cementerio de Esplendor" (Splendor Cemetery) will be ready for showing. Short films, some documentaries, stand-ups and musical performances are also part of what Cine Tonalá will offer the community.

You can check the whole itinerary in their October program, where more detailed information is available for you.

The admission fee is:

-General: $3.00

-Students, teachers, and elderly $2.00

-Mexican movies $1.50
