La Sonora Santanera to Perform This Friday at Cecut

The party starts at 8:00 p.m.

The Cultural Center of Tijuana (CECUT) is celebrating its 34th Anniversary, and that’s enough reason to have elite musical guests in their facility. That is why this year CECUT has decided to invite La Sonora Santanera to entertain the public.

La Sonora Santanera is a very well known Mexican band with songs that make almost everyone dance, (even a bit), and the date of their performance is Friday Oct. 14 in the esplanade at 8:00 pm.

Songs such as Amor de Cabaret, Donde estas Yolanda, La Boa, Luces de Nueva York, and Burundanga are going to be part of the playlist. Music will have touches of bolero, cha cha cha, and Afro-Antillean sounds, which have been distinguishing the band for more than 6 decades; undoubtedly, La Sonora Santanera will lift the spirits of every attendee.

After 60 years of making saloon music and winning the Grammy Latino award in 2014, La Sonora Santanera also won a star in the walk of fame in Las Vegas, Nevada. Several famous artists such as Lila Downs, Natalia Lafourcade, Alejandro Fernandez, Eugenia Leon and others have made covers of this great musical group.

All that’s left to say is that if you feel in the mood for a warm celebration and some dancing, it won’t matter if you don’t know the band, the only important thing will be you and your desire to have fun and celebrate.
