10 Events You Shouldn't Ignore this Weekend in Tijuana

TIJUANA.- We are getting closer to Halloween and more and more events keep piling up, which is awesome because we can continue giving you valuable information on the matter, so you can have fun every weekend.

Concerts, festivals, and other great activities are included in the list below, enjoy!

Thursday Oct. 20

1.-Humanitarian Aid at Fresco

Due to the recent arrival of many Haitian immigrants to Tijuana, some Bars of the city have started organizing events to help them. Fresco is one of them and has decided to invite some cool local bands to play tonight. Entre Desiertos, Perra Galga, Le Rodriguez, and others are going to perform. There's no cover but you'll need to bring clothing, blankets, or articles of personal care.

2.- Chelas For the Band

Just recently Cucapa Brewery launched a campaign that involved tricking some Trump followers to buy a T-shirt with a funny and bit offensive hidden message in the design. but the greatest part is that the money raised is practically for you, because they are going to be selling 2x1 beers all night and giving away a lot of T-shirts in a great celebration. Tacos, Dj's, Video Mapping, surprises and more are waiting for you in this huge party paid by "Trumpsters."

Friday Oct. 21

3.- Enrique Bunbury

No matter where you're from you've probably heard about this internationally famous artist, a Spaniard coming back to Tijuana as part of his MTV: Unplugged: El libro de las mutaciones Tour. Songs such as "Malas Intenciones", "La Chispa Adecuada", and "Lady blue", are going to be part of the playlist.

4.- Panic Room

This is a haunted house that settles every year in Downtown Tijuana to scare the many visitors that walk through these terrifying sceneries. Ten different stages and 15 well-prepared actors are ready to make the "Panic Room" experience a living hell for you. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday.

Where? Between First and Madero Street, in the second floor of the Museo de Cera. Canaco Saloon

5.- Midnight Movie at "Cycle of Terror" at Cinema CEART

We know that Halloween's Eve is one of the most spooky times of the year, but that surely doesn't mean you have to stay at home and miss all the fun. The 2nd Edition of the "Cycle of Terror" is here and now you have the opportunity of watching some of the best movies of this genre in a very nice facility every Saturday of October.

However, the amazing acclaimed film called "The Witch," directed by Robert Eggers is going to have an special showing this Friday Oct. 21 at 11:30 pm.

Saturday Oct. 22

6.- Tj Beer Fest

This is the 12th Edition of this festival, where more than 20 breweries (local, national and international) are going to offer the best of the best in flavor and texture. Regional Culinary delights, live music, and more.

7.- Oktoberfest

This is the first Mexican-German festival and Tijuana is entirely lucky to be the host of it. Rock bands, exclusive German beers, food, articles, surprises and more are ready to demonstrate the union between these two countries.

8.- Zombie Run 3

Zombie Run is one of the most fun and interactive themed race in Tijuana, where participants of all ages fight to survive the "Living Dead" by surpassing obstacles, scenery cars with special effects and a scary sound system.

There will be around 200 zombies, so be ready to face them all and don't let anyone take your flag away.

Where? Parque Morelos

Sunday Oct. 23

9.- Méliès Drive-in Theater

But if all in all you only want to spend a very calm night with your friends, family, that special person, or yourself, then we think that watching a movie under the moon is a very good idea, no matter if you go in a car or on foot. Go this Sunday and enjoy "Vaselina" in this cool drive-in theater.

Cover: $2.50 on foot, $8.00 two people in a car, and $10.50 if it's more than three people

10.- Urban Bazaar

On Sunday, the first edition of the Urban Bazaar will take place, here you'll find clothing, accessories, beauty products, furniture, local art, and more. You will definitely entertain yourself looking for the right item to purchase.
