Baja California is the Special Invitee at the "2016 Chocolate Festival"

The event will be held in Villahermosa Tabasco

MEXICALI.-The state of Baja California is to be a guest at the "2016 Chocolate Festival", held in Villahermosa, Tabasco. Ives Lelevier, Undersecretary of the State Tourism, said that they had been working on promoting the wonders of his state in Tabasco, where Baja California achieved great fame thanks to places such as Valle de Guadalupe, thus, the State was formally invited to be part of the "Chocolate Festival 2016."

Lelevier also pointed out that the 32% of tourists in Baja California go because of the cuisine and variety of wine and craft beer. The State representatives in this festival will be well-known Chefs, such as Mariela Manzano, Giovanni Brassea, Efrain Montoya, and sommelier Jonathan Rivera.

"We will have wine and craft beer tastings during the five days of event, as well as Master lectures and demo classes given by the Chefs," expressed the Undersecretary.

Likewise, he emphasized that this State participation is part of the activities planned for the "Baja California Marida con Mexico" event, which seeks to disseminate the diversity of Baja California in the National Market through tastings and culinary participations all over the country.

The "Chocolate Festival" is the most important event of its kind, and more than 135,000 people are expected. The 7th Edition of the Chocolate Festival started on Nov. 23 and it will end on Nov. 27.
