Mexicans Win Third Place in Latin American Robotics Competition

Students are looking for investors to reach the market

Rebeca Valdivia, Jose Alvarez and Jose Manuel Martinez are students from the Valley University of Mexico (UVM) in San Luis Potosi, and participated in the Robomatrix Latin American contest held in Bogota, where they won third place.

It was thanks to their Assistance and Medical Monitoring Robot (RAMM) that they won the contest. This robot is designed to help a person, a patient, or an elderly person by constantly monitoring at home. The robot can be operated through an app the students created in class.

This app controls the robot no matter the location, it helps activate a cardiac rhythm lecture and it contains a pill dispenser with alarm, you can also find the necessary to have messages and camera communication with the patient, as well as an adjustable chair.

The project is in redesign and the team is looking for investors to help this robot to reach the market.
