"El Trompo" Museum In Tijuana To Host "Stars Night" Tomorrow

The program will have lectures and workshops on space subjects

TIJUANA.- This astronomical night will be held at El Trompo Museum on Saturday Dec. 3, where the 2016 edition of "Stars Night" is going to be the perfect getaway of routine for families and everyone who enjoys looking to the sky and marvel every time with the awesomeness of space.

This free thirteen hour program will offer specialized workshops for all ages, lectures, exhibitions, bonfire, cultural dynamics for families and children, and as the main event, "Star Nights" with telescopes.

To make this happen, visitors can use their own equipment to watch the sky, and if that's not possible, some lessons on the use of binoculars will be given if necessary.

Lectures start at 5:00 pm with four subjects: Ambition and space exploration, astronomical talk, luminous contamination, and astrophotography, all of this in the showings room or in the exterior of the museum.

"Stars Night" will start at 7:00 pm.

But that's not it, because special activities will also be part of the event, things such as live painting with independent artist Mauro Donate, "Star Wars" characterization by the Rebel Force Club, and extra cultural exhibitions by the Xochicalco University and Lazaro Cardenas High School will surprise many attendees. This around 6:00 pm.

And if you thought that was IT, well… no, because Astronomy workshops for children, and experiment shows as "Girando con la ciencia" (Spinning with Science), and plastic arts exhibitions will also be part of this "Space Saturday." The bonfire will act as the perfect day closure.
