Tijuana Airport Will Surpass Six Million Annual Passengers for the First Time

Tijuana is the second best connected city of Mexico

People flow at Tijuana International Airport this December will be key to surpass for the first time the 6 million annual travelers. "That is a 30% increase compared to last year", said Airport Director, Martín Zazueta.

Zazueta says that Tijuana is in second place with better connectivity at a national level, detailing that 1, 200 000 passengers were registered, way more than last year.

"The airport will change its image radically in the next two or three years, it will be just what the city of Tijuana needs," said Zazueta on the investment of more than sixteen trillion US dollars for the expansion of airport infrastructure, adapting more than 12,000 square meters.

"There is no airport in the country that has the growth we have ... we are going to have an interesting challenge with the infrastructure in the city," added the director.
