The Baja Wine Route Is On the List of the 50 Best World Destinations of 2017

MEXICALI.- Baja California is one of the states in Mexico that receives a great quantity of tourists every year. And thanks to this, many important websites, blogs, and more, are acknowledging all the fun elements of the region, such as cuisine and beautiful landscapes.

According to an article written by Journalist Archana Ram in the international magazine "Travel + Leisure", The Wine Route at Valle de Guadalupe figured in this year's list of best 50 world destinations.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTURE), Óscar Escobedo, said with detail that this article is the result of a tour given to Archana Ram past July, in which she discovered all the richness of Baja, naturally and culinary speaking.

"We've been working with this strategy for some years already, in which we bring famous journalists to the state in coordination with Tourist services, we show them what our state has to offer and in that way, they live Baja in a really personal way" said Escobedo.

He also pointed out that thanks to this strategy, Baja California has had many positive articles written, some of them published in international magazines or blogs, such as Vogue, New York Times, Food & Travel, National Geographic, and others.

The best 50 world destinations of 2017 article explains that the Wine Route at Valle de Guadalupe has a lot of wineries, which attracts people's attention thanks to their variety and tastings on regional food; added to that, there's a lot of lodging options for every taste and personality, from cozy places to luxurious rooms, all of this without having to leave the area.

The results are also thanks to the effort made by local entrepreneurs who dedicate their lives to the culinary arts and winer making, and also to produce all of it with the freshest ingredients, fact that assures the quality of the products.
