The Ministry of Tourism (SECTURE) will participate in the next International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in Madrid, where they will establish negotiations for a direct flight between Europe and Tijuana by the end of 2018.

"The secretary is heading some meetings with airlines, with the objective that we can make a direct flight from Europe to Tijuana, which would help us to position Baja California in the tourism map even more," explained the director of Marketing of the state agency, Shadia Wehbe Dipp.

Ministry of Tourism, Óscar Escobedo, highlighted the interest in Poland, mentioning that he will hold a meeting with the Ministry of Tourism of this country during his visit to Madrid this January.

"An important part is that the airspace is for the United States, one reason we have been struggling for some flights is because of the restrictions. We hope that this flight can be shared with California," said the Minister, adding that negotiations would extend from 12 to 14 months …
