"Café De La Fonda," an Authentic Colombian Coffee Shop in Rosarito Beach

"Churros" and personalized donuts can be found here

When you think about Rosarito Beach, mostly the first image that comes to your head is the one of a beach itself, but you don't necessarily think that in this town you can enjoy many other activities besides the already traditional trip to the beach.

But, yes, you can, and one of those awesome activities is going to very nice places to drink a cup of coffee."Café de la Fonda" is one of those magical spots to enjoy with your favorite company (even if that's just yourself), and eat delicious desserts.

Rosarito Beach has many virtues, among them a great variety of restaurants and awesome spots to witness the perfect sunset, and Café de la Fonda is one of them, a coffee shop that will make you go back anytime.

This Coffee Shop opened on Aug. 18 of 2016 and it already has a lot of fans inside and out of the city. The decor is cozy and coffee quotes are all over the place.

The terrace of Café de la Fonda has a very nice view, and if it's not too windy, you'll certainly feel at peace just sitting there.

From the moment you enter you can smell the deliciousness of 100% Colombian coffee, plus, you get a really nice view of the bakery options they have.

If you like to try different flavors in your coffee, then here you'll find really good craft syrups, among which are Horchata, lavender, piloncillo (brown sugar), and real honey, all ready to make your latte an unique experience.

You can also enjoy teas, and the classic americano, as well as iced drinks. Added to that, their menu includes specialties, one of them is called "Perico", and the other one "Tintico," the first one is made with milk and it has a really light flavor, while the second one is stronger and served without milk.

"Perico."

"Tintico."

But not everything's about the great drinks, because Café de la Fonda has live performances on Thursdays and Saturdays, which are usually in charge of local artists, soft music played with acoustic guitars are the most common, so the calm vibe of the place never gets interrupted.

The brownies are astounding, or at least they're my personal favorite, the size is great and the texture is perfect, a chocolate-y pleasure you need to try.

But if you get easily tired of chocolate, then there are other options for you to accompany your cup of coffee, such as churros with cinnamon, and personalized donuts. You can add chocolate chips, peanuts, coconut, bacon and more to create your perfect donut. Maple, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry are the different icings with which you can cover your donut.

"She has coffee in her eyes, that's why she takes my sleep away."

In conclusion, this place has a part of Colombia, and you can go visit anytime in Rosarito Beach, the staff is very kind and you can often see the owner walking around checking if everything's fine with your order and visit; plus, is a "Pet Friendly" space. Bring your fluffy friend and have a great time.

Location: Blvd. Benito Juárez 854, Centro Carretera, 22710 Rosarito, B.C.
