Tijuana Mayor Admits City Is Basically "Pothole-land"

He recognized the seriousness of this problem and he said they will fix the streets after the rainy season

"It is pothole-land (bachelandia, in Spanish), Tijuana looks like a lunar environment", said Tijuana's mayor, Juan Manuel Gastelum after the evident deterioration on streets in the city thanks to the rainy days we had this winter season.

Although he acknowledged the seriousness of this problem, it will be until the end of this year's rainy season when they will start with the street patching program in the city of Tijuana, he stated for the newspaper El Sol de Tijuana.

He emphasized that if they work at the moment to repair the streets it will be a double expense for the administration, a resource they don't have right now.

He asked to the citizens for a "little more patience" for the aggressive plan in which two "Jet Patcher" type machines will be used to cover the needs of each delegation.

He's also aware of the situation where not only the roads are damaged but also the tires and muffler of the vehicles can be affected.
