Tinta Negra Is the Best Place to Drink Craft Beer in Rosarito

With the best selection of state craft beers

Let's be honest, while before you did not even think about trying that beer that looked "different" from the others, now all you see is craft beer everywhere, but there was a place in the state of Baja California where you hardly saw it: Rosarito Beach.

That's right, you could buy some of those craft beers at a supermarket in town or go to a couple of bars with a little selection of beer, which made this drink go unnoticed; but now, a new establishment is in charge of bringing you the best of the state and is called Cerveceria "Tinta Negra," located in Rosarito.

With almost a year in the city, this brewery is responsible for bringing you the best selection of the state, including Agua Mala, Fauna, Border Psycho, Wendlandt and Chivo Gruñón, not leaving behind the great Insurgente, winner of the best craft beer in Mexico .

Manuel Esteban Padrez, General Manager, mentions that Rosarito has been resurfacing since those dark days when a foreign soul hardly was seen, and as part of this he decided to create an area that attracted both locals and tourists.

The ad that welcomes you to an area full of good flavors and delicious beers.

That was how a food court was born (or a Food Fest) where a seafood restaurant used to be, now it became a space to try 5 types of gourmet food, and right next to it is the "Tinta Negra" local ready with beers to accompany your meal or just for you to drink and have a good time.

When you enter Cervecería Tinta Negra there is something that stands out, and that is a very creative painting by Jaime Carbó, a local artist.

And although the place is relatively small it's what makes people want to come back for more, since part of the experience in "Tinta Negra," is that the bartender will always answer your questions about beer and everyone present will have the opportunity to get to know each other. An intimate atmosphere that you rarely find in tap rooms in Tijuana or other municipalities.

Eleuter, the bartender, says that what he likes best about working in Tinta Negra is the opportunity to get to know and learn new things from people, "recently, a frequent customer was selected to participate in Fear the Walking Dead and we thought it was a very curious thing, " he also mentions that a U.S. resident arrived one night and ordered 13 beers, then left the place very tipsy and he barely could walk.

As an important fact, beer orders are made monthly and usually the product is finished quickly, so you can be sure that every time you go you will drink a very good quality beer.

Chivo Gruñón is a beer made in Ensenada, and is a brand that personally I haven't seen so often in other places. They have three types: Vanilla, Irish Red and a Porter made by Ochento's pizza, a food place located in Valle Dorado in Ensenada.

The general manager mentioned that if some local talent cooked their own beer and wanted to show Tinta Negra the product, they were welcome to do so, since so far only the Los Reyes brand is 100% from Rosarito, and they already have a bar in Rosarito and Plaza Fiesta.

The operating hours are from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm or 11:00 pm, depending on the number of guests.

So if you're looking for a place in Rosarito to enjoy the best craft beer brands in the state (and soon more original options in taps), visit "Tinta Negra", and don't forget to try the food from some of the stands around, Betuccini's, Tortas Carbonas and OMG Burgers are part of the options.

Tinta Negra is located at Blvd. Benito Juarez 1207, 22700 Rosarito.
