About 60 Haitian Children Are Ready to Start School in Tijuana

The children will make visits to the Museum of the Californias to know the history of the city

TIJUANA.- Parents of at least 60 Haitian children in Baja California are looking for ways to get their children into school so they can continue their studies, according to the local Frontera newspaper.

Adriana Reyna, member of the Strategic Committee for Humanitarian Aid says that they have been helping foreigners to carry out all the formalities before the State Educational System (SEE), so that minors enter the school in the coming weeks.

According to Síntesis, Pedro Ochoa, director of the Tijuana Cultural Center will give his support so that these minors can attend the Museum of the Californias, and get to know the history of the place where they now live.

At the moment, the cases are under evaluation and their last degree will be considered, as well as the nearest campus where they live.

This situation could represent a great example of mixture of cultures and how it's never too late to call other place "home."
