Tijuana – Several thousands of people, most of them dressed in white and carrying white balloons—walked Sunday morning with Archbishop Rafael Romo Muñoz in the 11th annual "United for Life and Peace March."

Although the Church invited the entire community, not just people from a particular ideology, to participate, those who marched clearly opposed abortion.

Some young women wore fake bellies, as if pregnant, with messages that said, "Let me live" or "I want to live." Others wore tee-shirts with the image of a heart with a fetus and a message that read, "Let's give voice to those who do not have one."

The marchers began their walk a little before10 a.m. on Agua Caliente Boulevard, near the old bullring, and moved toward the Crea sports complex in the Río zone.

They walked about ten blocks, occasionally singing or praying.

In announcing the march, the archbishop had said it would be a spiritual journey, a Christian exercise without any ideological position. He called it "a song to life because it's worth living with great happiness."
