Ensenada Is Mexico's 2nd Biggest for Cruise Arrivals

ENSENADA.- The company Business Research & Economic Advisors (BREA) has released its yearly study on all top international destinations of cruises..

According to Héctor Rosas Rodea, a delegate of the State Tourism Secretariat, Ensenada came in second place at the Mexican level, while in our region (Baja), Ensenada takes first place. In 2016 the city had 258 cruise arrivals, which is translated to 670 thousand passengers.

Currently the Cruise Committee has the goal of making more than 80% of people arriving on a cruise to Ensenada actually disembark and those who have already gotten off spend an average of 64 dollars.

Top three cruise destinations in Mexico:

    1st.- Cozumel 2nd.- Ensenada 3rd.- Mahahual (Quintana Roo, near the Maya Riviera)

In previous years, Ensenada competes between the second and third place, same as this year.
