Dynamic At the Border Reverts; Marijuana Crossing Happens Mostly From the US to Tijuana

La legalización de la marihuana en California es parte del actual consumo del cannabis en la frontera

Drug crossing at the border has always existed, but this time authorities and activists have noticed that after marijuana legalization in California it is more common for cannabis to come from the United States and end in Tijuana.

"The funny thing is that we are already beginning to see that the flow of marijuana is reversed, they are already bringing it instead of carrying it, which is a completely different matter than what we were used to in the last 50 and 60 years," Said the representative of Education and Integral Citizen Procurement (EPIC), Rodrigo Jiménez.

Given the dynamics of the border, it is not so easy to distinguish or detect marijuana in customs, especially in the foods that the dispensaries now sell.

"On the other side, it is completely legal, and when you cross the line it becomes illegal, but our government is kind of silly and lacks energy, people doing cannabis tourism are eating us, "said Jimenez.
