Baja California Expects Millions from Film Industry This Year

Fear The Walking Dead is still the project with greater investment

Baja California is slowly recovering its coveted fame as a top film industry location in Mexico and in the world. And the state can expect no less than 25 million dollars in invest from productions already confirmed for this year.

For years the region has stood out for having similar locations to those of Hollywood, like valleys, deserts, mountains, sea and cities, and they can find these places and that also fit the budget for these projects.

"We believe that it is an industry that has enormous potential for growth and that we can certainly appreciate it in what is already being done and in what is going to be done in the following years," said Ives Lelevier Ramos, undersecretary of Tourism in Baja California.

At the moment there are 60 confirmed projects, including movies, commercials, television programs and zombies; being the two last projects the ones with the largest investment in the region.
