Tijuana's Favorite Porky's to Move Out of La Sexta

The place was the perfect spot to dance 80s music

Tijuana is one of the best places to party in Baja California, mostly the Downtown area, where bars, restaurants, and taco stands are the every day stars. The 6th Street or "La Sexta" is part of this fun, and until a couple a days ago, so was a place called "Porky's La Sexta," the perfect spot to party 80s style and dance to songs from bands such as A-HA, or INXS.

If you had the chance of going, then you know how it is, if not, you only need to know that it's going to close for a while and you won't be able to have fun there, as it was recently announced on their official Facebook Page.

Even though Porky's La Sexta is not going to completely dissappear, but only change of location, many locals and tourists are a bit dissapointed, because if you felt like partying and singing to classic hits, you only needed to go to that place with a "big pig head" as decoration.

This sudden change was decided by the administration of Porky's because they wanted to explore a new concept, one that's more commercial and offers better services.

But according to their announcement, the insecurity and bad salubrity of the area had a lot to do with the shut down.

"This decision was taken due to the company's own interests and market issues, we are interested in exploring a wider concept, where spaces are shared with other commercial proposals.

Insecurity, crimes on the street and inside, are also some of the factors that force us to change of location.

The surroundings sometimes makes the clientele go away and look for cleaner areas. We will take Porky's to another area. Porky's evolves, it does not die." said the announcement.
