The Expo Cerveza Artesanal Tijuana 2017 (Craft Beer Expo) is scheduled for June 2 and 3 of this year at the parking lot of Plaza de Toros Playas de Tijuana, where besides having only the best beers in the region, the star bands performing will be El Gran Silencio and DLD, this according to organizer, Rubén Valenzuela.

Through a press release, Valenzuela indicated that the main change of the event is the change of location, because it will no longer be in the field located in front of Mercado Hidalgo at Zona Rio, instead, the parking lot of Plaza de Toros in Playas de Tijuana will host, a change that will give greater space to offer a better service of parking, security and a beachy atmosphere.

"We have strived to offer a quality event at a very low cost, the ticket has a cost of $ 200 pesos ($11.00 dlls), these tickets go on sale starting May 1 on the Internet, convenience stores, and pharmacies; for this amount you can enjoy a wide program of concerts and a great selection of state craft beers."

The event will start at 2:00 pm and Rubén is in deals to have Rubén Albarán from Café Tacvba as a DJ, as well as Toy Selectah Hernández from Control Machete, and also, some Jazz bands.

He added that these factors must complement the culinary marvels of the region and yet, promote Tijuana nationally and internationally.

He emphasized that another element that distinguishes the Expo Cerveza Artesanal Tijuana is that brewers participate thanks to a private invitation that recognizes the award-winning breweries in the different national and international competitions, as well as those who happen to be brewers of Tijuana Homebrew Club to later generate their own brand.

Valenzuela recalled that until 2010 the brewers participated in the TJ Beer festival, but this was difficult to maintain because the spaces were sold at $450.00 dlls. As a result, more than 60 brewers joined, and in 2011 they started organizing the Ensenada Beer Fest in March, and the Expo Cerveza Artesanal Tijuana in late spring.

From the outset, the Expo Cerveza Artesanal Tijuana has been distinguished for having a concert lineup of groups such as La Ballena de Jonas, Amigos Invisibles, Kinky, Nortec, Tijuana No, and others.

Rubén Valenzuela invited everyone to attend this next edition of the Expo Cerveza Artesanal on June 2 and 3 of 2017. More news on the event will be announced in the next few days.
