Baja California Wins 4 Gold Medals at National Open Water Olympiad

These four young people were proud of representig their state

BAJA CALIFORNIA.- The National Open Water Olympiad 2017 took place at la presa " El Cuchillo," Nuevo Leon this past May 8, and Baja California won most of the categories.

Three girls were contestants in three categories, and all of them returned home with a gold medal: Nahomy Guadalupe Lopez Collazo, Mariana Ruvalcaba Cruz, and Martha Sandoval Ayala.

Also, one men category was won by Cesar Ivan Ocegueda Hernandez, who got the gold.

The governor of Baja California, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, sent his best regards to the winners and their families through a post... "In this way, our state proved to be a powerful entity in the sports area, leaving Jalisco in second place, and in third place, the State of Mexico. My recognition for all the contestants, their families and coaches. Congratulations!"
