Spoil Your Pet This Sunday at the Rosarito Pet Beach Day

Fashion parade, adoption stand, food, raffles, obedience classes and more!

ROSARITO.- Everything is ready for the celebration of the second edition of the Pet Beach Festival, a way of remembering pets also matter. This event will have a series of activities raising social awareness to stop abuse, neglect and cruelty against animals.

Víctor Loza Bazán, president of the Organizing Committee, announced that the event will be held on Sunday, May 21, at the beach where Acacias Street ends, next to the Abelardo L. Rodríguez Park, and where activities will start from 10 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon.

On this occasion the activities begin with the registration at nine in the morning, and later the inauguration of the event, as well as the blessing of pets at 10:30 am, he said.

Loza Bazán recalled that Pet Beach Day was created with the purpose of promoting well-being, security and stopping animal cruelty, decreasing the population of street animals, ending pet-killing shelters, and especially enforcing criminal laws for the animal exploiters.

Training and animal obedience demonstration activities and bite prevention tips are also scheduled, with a class taught by Marci Ploper, a certified trainer in the United States.

One of the great attractions of the festival is undoubtedly the fashion show and competition for the best dressed pets, with important awards and recognitions for the winners.
