With Baja Beach Fest approaching, Rosarito authorities are working with the state government and local security and emergency agencies to prepare for the influx of visitors expected during the festival.
Laureano Carrillo, head of Baja California’s Security and Citizen Protection Secretariat, led an inspection of the festival grounds as part of the preparations. The visit focused on strengthening coordination among the agencies that will participate in the special security operation and reviewing conditions throughout the venue.
What authorities are checking
The inspection focused on key areas that could affect emergency response, including entrances, evacuation routes, emergency assistance points and other strategic locations throughout the festival grounds.
The goal is to make sure security and emergency personnel can respond quickly if an incident occurs during the event.

Authorities will maintain a coordinated security and emergency response operation before, during and after festival activities.
The operation is intended to protect guests while also maintaining safety for local residents, visitors and tourists throughout Rosarito during the festival weekend.
