Family, friends, and community members gathered in Tijuana on Sunday to hold a caravan in honor of young Eren Mael Villalobos Flores, offering a heartfelt farewell and showing solidarity following his passing.
The event began around 12:00 p.m. at the Gayosso funeral home in Zona Río, where a preliminary tribute was held. Attendees then set off in a caravan, traveling through various parts of the city.

Several meaningful stops were made along the way. The first was at the Cuauhtémoc Roundabout, and the second at the bicycle workshop where Eren’s father and uncle work. At each stop, participants took time to remember the young boy and express their support for the grieving family.
Relatives and loved ones dressed in white as a symbol of farewell and hope. They carried white star-shaped balloons and framed photographs of Eren. Toy cars and balloons were also placed on the vehicles in the caravan as a symbolic tribute to his memory.

Eren Mael, who was just one year and eight months old, died after spending time in critical condition due to multiple organ failure. He had received a liver retransplant on March 18 in an attempt to improve his health.
Throughout his medical journey, the Tijuana community showed strong support for the family through various acts of kindness, including purchasing products they sold in the Zona Río area to help cover medical expenses. Following his death, additional efforts have been made to assist with funeral costs.
With messages of love and companionship, participants traveled through the city to honor Eren’s memory and recognize the lasting impact he left on those who knew him.
