Cleaning Operation Targets Downtown Tijuana Streets

The initiative spanned from Second Street and Niños Héroes to Fifth Street and Constitución, as well as surrounding roads.

In an effort to improve the urban image and maintain order in the municipality, the Directorate of Inspection and Verification led a cleaning operation in the city’s downtown area, working in coordination with merchants from the Tijuana Zona Centro Association.

According to Department Director José Antonio Olivas Heredia approximately 50 merchants supported the effort.

Water tanker trucks were also brought in to facilitate deep cleaning of sidewalks and roadways, contributing to the broader goal of enhancing the city’s appearance.

During the operation, crews removed accumulated trash and debris, helping to improve conditions for both pedestrians and drivers.

The Tijuana City Hall reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with citizens to ensure public spaces remain clean, orderly, and safe for the benefit of all Tijuana residents.
