First Women’s Entrepreneur Expo Takes Places in Tijuana

This initiative seeks to empower working women by providing a dedicated space to showcase their businesses.

Tijuana has launched its inaugural “2026 Women’s Entrepreneur Expo” this week, an event dedicated to empowering working women and showcasing their entrepreneurial projects.

Organized by the local Secretariat for Women and held at the Aluminium ABC plant in El Florido, the expo aims to strengthen female-led businesses and increase their visibility in the local economy.

Secretary for Women, Katerina Collins Barrera, stated that these actions are designed to help every woman consolidate their venture and boost sales. “Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz has championed the initiative as part of a broader effort to support women entrepreneurs in achieving their professional and financial goals,” she added.

During the event, dozens of entrepreneurs displayed a wide range of products, including handmade jewelry, cosmetics, traditional snacks, scented candles, desserts, and custom mugs. Attendees had the chance to network, share experiences, and connect directly with potential customers.

The Tijuana City Hall stated that the expo reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering women’s economic autonomy and promoting initiatives that boost Tijuana’s social and economic development.
