In an effort to strengthen housing coordination for the benefit of Tijuana residents, Tijuana Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz held a working meeting in Mexico City with federal congressman Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar.
During the meeting, both officials agreed on the importance of promoting the Housing Program for Well-Being, an initiative led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo that aims to guarantee decent housing for young people and low-income families.

To help meet the national goal of building 1.8 million homes, the mayor highlighted that the Tijuana City Hall is coordinating closely with the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development, headed by Edna Vega Rangel.

City Hall’s Role Recognized
Ramírez Cuéllar also recognized the active role of the 25th Tijuana City Hall in promoting actions designed to reduce the city’s housing deficit.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among different levels of government to advance public policies that benefit the population.
