This past Friday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m., the Tijuana City Hall’s Secretariat of Welfare hosted a social support distribution event at the esplanade of the Monument to the Mother.

During the ceremony, a total of 200 social aid packages were delivered, including 80 water storage tanks and three grants designated for civil associations, initiatives that underscore the municipal government’s ongoing commitment to community welfare.

“Every support represents more than just a resource; it is a gesture of solidarity, companionship, and hope for the families of Tijuana. True well-being is built when we listen, respond, and place the community at the heart of every decision,” Wendy Ontiveros González, head of the Secretariat of Welfare, said.

He expressed pride in taking part in these outreach efforts and noted that the total investment for the delivered supports amounted to 345,000 pesos.

“Here in Tijuana, we are carrying out concrete actions with sensitivity and empathy,” the mayor affirmed. “We will continue to strengthen these efforts, guided by the principles of social justice and humanism, in order to build a fairer, more prosperous, and more equitable society.”

Attendees formed orderly lines to receive their aid and took the opportunity to express their gratitude to the officials present.
