Thanks To Baja By The Sea, The Region Can Expect An Increase In Their American Tourists

Baja has gained strength thanks to its alliances and participations on grand events

Directives of Tijuana's Tourism and Conventions Committee (COTUCO) and Canirac, reported that tahnks to the event of Baja by the Sea which took place this past August 1st at Embarcadero Marina Park in San Diego, they can now expect an increase of tourists coming from California to the region.

The purpose of Baja by the Sea was to show Californian residents, the touristic strengths of each and everyone one of Baja's cities, which united offer a wide selection of alternatives for every person.

"We are doing this intense promotion campaign among different media and space in California, with the purpose of attracting (mainly) those who have never visited our region, this event helped us achieved that," expressed Badiola Montaño.

In this manner, president of the National Chamber of Restaurants and Seasoned Food (Canirac), Martin Muñoz, detailed that during this third edition of Baja by the Sea a total of 354 Baja companies participated, who showcased their products through 140 modules.

An attendance of 15 thousand people was registered of which over 80% of its attendees were from California, meaning that the purpose of showing the state's touristic offer to the American market was fulfilled.

"Every touristic server that participated only projected a bit of how much Baja California has to offer; which is why hand in hand with Cotuco we will continue to work in order for our Northernto comer and get to know us," he mentioned.

Lastly, president of Canirac mentioned that the fourth edition of this event could be further North of California, given that there are other interested cities that want to know the region's touristic offer.
