5 tap rooms you must visit next time you're in Mexicali

Baja California has been recognized internationally for being a state that has some of the best craft beers, like Insurgente in the municipality of Tijuana.

Baja California has 6 municipalities, and each has something that makes them authentic, Tijuana for its beers, Ensenada for its wines and valleys, Tecate for its sweet bread, Rosarito for its lobsters and tourism, San Quintín for its beaches, and the Capital of Baja California, Mexicali for its authentic Chinese food.

Mexicali is a city known for being “the city that captured the sun”, because of its “infernal” heat. The inhabitants and visitors of this city can cool off with a variety of craft beers.

If you had not planned to visit Mexicali, you should pack your bags and visit these tap rooms:

1. Once Perros

The name comes from 10 friends who are “bien perrones” (Mexican slang for really badass or awesome) and adding the custmoer, there is a total of “eleven (once) perrones”. This is a space full of artistic murals, good spots for photos and, above all, a delicious Mexicali Cream Ale beer, you can’t drink just one. Without a doubt, the perfect space for everyone who visits Mexicali

2. Fauna Tasting Room

One of the best known breweries in Baja California is found in Mexicali. Don’t hesitate to take a Piedra de León, which is a Pale Ale with aroma dominated by hints of grapefruit, orange and flowers. Ideal for those hot days.
