The Consulate of Mexico in San Diego issued a statement on the Calexico-Mexicali border, which announces that different sanitary filters will be placed again in the border ports. These points are as follows:

The sanitary filters can be found at Garita Oeste, Garita Este and Los Algodones, starting on Friday, July 10th. They will be activated at 2 p.m. and will continue all weekend until Sunday 12th at 8 p.m.

This information is provided for those who may travel between the border, to help them avoid long lines, and prepare them for the traffic that the filters may cause.

Since the cases of coronavirus have escalated, Mexicali has seen the need to adopt new measures such as establishing screening filters at the city's checkpoints. With the sole purpose of only letting in those who live in the city or have an essential activity in Mexicali this weekend.
