Shopping centers in Tijuana reopen non-essential stores

Beauty shops, boutiques, accessories and gift shops, sports shops, jewellery shops, shoe shops, among other things are already running

The state and federal governments cannot agree on the status of Baja California in the traffic light chart. While the state indicates that it will remain red this week, the federal government declared it orange. Despite the fact that it is encouraged to stay red, the city of Tijuana is starting to reopen non-essential businesses. This is the case of some businesses in shopping centers such as Plaza Rio, Macroplaza and Galerias Hipodromo. These have received authorization from the Secretary of Sustainable Economy and Tourism for the reopening of non-essential businesses.

Beauty shops, boutiques, accessories and gift shops, sports shops, jewelry stores, shoe stores, among other businesses are already active in these shopping centers in the city, each with sanitary regulations at the time of entry and under some restrictions.

In order to enter shopping centers, all customers must wear a mask when entering the establishment, allow their temperature to be taken and use hand sanitizer, as well as respect the markings to keep a safe distance, as is the case with Plaza Galerias, which already has a sanitary filter.

It should be noted that in shopping malls only essential items such as supermarkets, pharmacies, telephone shops and restaurants were allowed.
