The Aeroméxico airline, announced its new route that connects the cities of Monterrey and Tijuana through direct flights seven times per week.

This is part of its strategies to increase domestic travel in response to the gradual recovery of passenger demand, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

"Aeroméxico is proud to connect these two cities that are a great attraction for tourism and business. This new route will boost economic activity and we will continue to connect our customers from these destinations thanks to other flights we offer from Tijuana and Monterrey," said Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeromexico.

To celebrate this connection Aeromexico is offering the following rates for travel starting in August:

- From $568 pesos on a single flight from Tijuana to Monterrey
- From $638 pesos on a single stretch from Monterrey to the border city

According to the airline, it will be operating more than double the number of flights in July compared to the previous month and will continue to reconnect destinations and increase the number of flights, implementing the protocols of its Health and Hygiene Management System in its entire operation, designed for customers and collaborators.
