Mexico starts week with 48 thousand and 12 deaths

Data provided by the Department of Health confirms 443 thousand 813 cumulative cases

On August 3rd, in the update number 157 about the coronavirus situation in our country, the Mexican Department of Health released the numbers corresponding to the last 24 hours.

The update was directed by the Secretary of Health, Hugo Lopez-Gatell who asked the Head of Epidemiology, Jose Luis Alomia, to present the corresponding numbers.

According to the graphs presented by Alomia, Mexico has a total of 443 thousand 813 coronavirus cases, of which it is estimated that 42 thousand 360 cases are active. On the other hand, there are 48 thousand and 12 deaths due to this virus.

As of today, 79 thousand and 39 people are waiting for their results. Looking back at the information of past updates, of the number of suspicious cases, approximately 39 thousand people will test positive for this virus.

Regarding hospital availability, the only state that has passed the "safe zone" but still has availability is Nuevo Leon, while Baja California has 57% in general beds and 48% in beds with a ventilator.
