Baja California is about to register 3 thousand deaths from coronavirus

The curve in the state keeps flattening

On Sunday, August 16, Health Secretary Alonso Perez Rico and the current governor of Baja California announced the coronavirus update in the state.

Currently the Mexican country registers more than 518 thousand positive cases.

The state of Baja California has 15 thousand 346 confirmed coronavirus cases, 2 thousand 908 deaths from this virus, and 978 suspicious cases. The reported cases and deaths are distributed in the state as follows:

Tijuana 4 thousand 593
Mexicali 7 thousand 623
Ensenada one thousand 876
Tecate 381
Rosarito 211
San Quentin/Vicente Guerrero 396
San Felipe 266

Of the 2 thousand 908 confirmed deaths in the state, the city of Tijuana has one thousand 195, Mexicali one thousand 352, Ensenada 243, Tecate 89, Rosarito 16, San Quintin/VG 101 and San Felipe 2.

The infection curve in the state is going down. On the other hand, there was a mention of the vaccine which will begin production in October but it is important to emphasize that until the first quarter of 2021 will be when vaccination days begin.

Dr. Alonso Perez Rico announced that people who have been infected with coronavirus can get sick again after three months because of antibody loss.
