As we reported a few days ago, on August 29th and 30th the event "Tijuana al fresco" took place, which sought to reactivate the restaurant economy on Avenida Revolución, Zona Centro, successfully achieving this by closing the space to vehicular traffic from 4th to 7th streets to turn it into a walkway, and arranging tables on the sidewalks so that the venues could serve their customers outdoors.
The large influx of people, however, with its healthy distance and all the protocols of safety and hygiene, was a pleasant experience for both diners and restaurateurs, who saw an increase in sales of up to 40%.
The music in the open air, as well as a calm and different atmosphere made many people want this modality to be repeated, so "Tijuana al fresco" will now take place every weekend during the month of September.
Some of the tenants are looking to extend their schedules after the attendance of more than 3 thousand people, who visited the area looking for a place to eat especially at night. In addition, the popularity of the event in its last edition will surely attract more people and tourists during the following occasions.
