During his morning conference, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was questioned about the border crossings between this country and the United States, which remain restricted to only essential travel until October 21.
In light of this, Andres Manuel commented that today a security meeting was held where an agreement was reached between both countries on border transit in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Without giving details, Obrador indicated that tomorrow the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard will give information about it, but he said that "the relationship with the United States government is very good. There are no issues of confrontation".
In turn, he said that in the matter of free transit of people and goods "that has been resolved and there is no problem," but that tomorrow Marcelo Ebrard will explain it.
What do you think this agreement consists of? Do you think that essential travel will apply to both countries? Or do you think that people with tourist visas will already be able to cross the border?
