Baja California falls at mid-level of epidemiological traffic light chart

The Mexican Department of Health reports the change of color at the traffic lights, but reiterates not to let down their guard.

As of October 9, 2020 there are 809 thousand 571 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 956 thousand 251 negative cases, 83 thousand 507 confirmed deaths and 588 thousand and 85 people recovered in Mexico.

The epidemiological traffic light chart risk presented these changes:

- 7 entities increased their risk from moderate to high.
- 5 entities decreased their risk from high to moderate.
- 20 entities still maintain their risk level.

States at high level: Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Sinaloa, Durango, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Queretaro, Jalisco, Colima, Mexico City, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Yucatan.

Mid-level states: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Chiapas, Michoacan, Tlaxcala, Guanajuato, Puebla and Veracruz.

States in low level: Campeche.

During the press conference the following was commented:

There has been collaboration with the Department of Public Education to reopen school activities, and they clarified that the states at green lights could reopen face-to-face classes. But the risks are still being taken care of, so it was decided that observation of states like Campeche (Green light) will continue. And it was noted that classes can be returned until more states have green lights.

Emphasis is placed on all states to report if things are going well, and also if things are NOT going well. Do not hide important data or facts regarding COVID-19.

According to the above, you should not let your guard down. Social distancing, masking, and staying home are safety protocols in these times of pandemic.
