This was the line at the Tijuana-San Diego border crossing 100 years ago

The Tijuana Historical Archive presented a photograph showcase of the Tijuana crossing

Photo by: Archivo Histórico de Tijuana

The Tijuana Historical Archive presented a series of photographs of how the Tijuana-San Diego border used to look between 1915 and 1925. In the photograph below we find a single line to cross into the city.

There is no doubt that this is a huge contrast to what we Tijuana residents are used to seeing. Also, you can see a small booth where there is now even a double surveillance system.

This photograph and the others are part of the "Pablo Torrealba" digital archive of the Tijuana Historical Archive/Museum Project of the Tijuana History Museum, and is an original collection by Andre Williams. If you want to see more pictures you can log in to the Historical Archive's Facebook account here.

What do you say? How is the border crossing better: classic and simple as before, or modern and busy as now?
