A concentration of active cases is registered in these Tijuana neighborhoods

According to the Secretary of Health, this area of the city is where the greatest attention should be paid

The Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, announced this Tuesday, October 27, the neighborhoods that concentrate active COVID-19 cases in Baja California.

In the case of the municipality of Tijuana, which has 103 active cases of the 447 that the state has, until the cut-off date of October 26th, it reports five neighborhoods where there are transmission chains due to specific activities, according to Perez Rico.

According to the Secretary of Health, those neighborhoods are the following:

  • Camino Verde/Grupo Mexico (7 active cases)
  • Zona Rio (4 active cases)
  • Paseos del Vergel (3 active cases)
  • Las Delicias (3 active cases)
  • Villas del Prado 2nd section (3 active cases)

On the other hand, the accumulated positive cases in the region total 21 thousand 737, of which 7 thousand and 25 were registered in Tijuana; while the people who have died from this disease in the state are 3 thousand 805, of which one thousand 578 were residents of the border city.

The Health Secretary also mentioned that the patients recovered in Baja California are 15 thousand 248, of which 4 thousand 185 are Tijuana residents.
