COVID-19 intubated patients increase after Halloween parties

"The scenario is not reassuring at all": Alonso Pérez Rico

The consequences of the high mobility of people in Tijuana during the Halloween festivities are already being suffered, as the number of patients intubated by COVID-19 has increased in the city's hospitals in recent days.

The information was released by the Baja California Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, who indicated that "the panorama is not reassuring at all".

The head of the unit urged the population not to expose themselves to risky situations by going to places with many people and to use the mask at all times, since this is one of the reasons why the virus has spread.

As a result of the Halloween celebrations, the increase in intubated patients rose from 74 last week to 114 during the last few days.
