According to the Secretary of Health of Baja California Alonso Pérez Rico, over 200 outbreaks of COVID-19 have been detected in companies of this entity, some of these outbreaks involved two or three people, although in some cases between 15 and 20 people were also affected.

For this reason, and because the dates of meetings or lodgings in small and large businesses are close, Pérez Rico suggested that organizers and business people hold them virtually, in order to avoid similar situations.

"On the subject of the Christmas parties and meetings, the same thing will happen as on Halloween, in addition to giving out candy, they will give out covid. So let's not do it," requested the Secretary.

However, if this recommendation is not followed, he also proposed that meetings in the workplace have less than ten people, with very well ventilated areas, that the event lasts less than two hours and that everyone wears their mask.

Although he stressed that if such an activity is not essential, it is better not to attend for the sake of colleagues and especially family members waiting at home of the person who attended this meeting.
