Tijuana natives will not be able to use or sell fireworks during Christmas

Tijuana authorities reported that as part of the "Safe Christmas" campaign in this Baja California municipality, the sale and use of fireworks will be prohibited during the holiday season.

According to a press release, those who are found misusing or commercializing them, with the exception of flares, will be severely punished.

In addition to this measure, which it affects not only animals, but also environmental pollution and the population that makes use of them, as part of this campaign, the Secretariat of Security and Municipal Citizen Protection (SSPCM), in coordination with the Municipal Health Department (DMS), the DIF System and the Directorate of Municipal Inspection and Verification, will work together to strengthen security and implement health measures for COVID-19.

Therefore, there will be the presence of 98 more units to strengthen the surveillance in stores and banks, they will double the surveillance in swap meets and restaurants, prioritizing the compliance with capacity and hours established, as well as the placement of six points of breathalyzer tests in the city, five days a week.
