Yesterday morning, through a live broadcast, Baja California authorities ruled out implementing the Dry Law in the state due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

They commented that implementing this law does not work because it causes people to store alcohol and that can be even worse. In addition, in the face of the "panic" of running out of alcohol, one sees crowds in stores or markets where alcohol is sold, as was seen a few months ago due to the shortage of alcoholic beverages.

Authorities explained that Baja California wants to create awareness among citizens and people should know how to take care of themselves, since they believe that with the closing of non-essential businesses, it will be more than enough to start thinking and therefore, to lower the color at the epidemiological traffic light.

On Monday the 7th, Baja California officially returns to the red light and with it the closing of bars, night clubs, gyms and entertainment centers will begin, meanwhile other businesses will be able to continue in spite of the red light, but with limitations in their capacity.
