The active COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Baja California after registering until this Tuesday morning 945, of which 519 are located in Mexicali, 228 in Tijuana, 129 in Ensenada, 22 in San Quintín, 19 in Tecate, 16 in San Felipe and 12 in Rosarito.

Since these cases are the ones that give strength to the pandemic, and in order to diminish the transmission of coronavirus, the State Health Secretary, Alonso Pérez Rico, mentioned that municipal authorities should prevent swap meets in the neighborhoods where active cases are concentrated, since this is one of the activities where most people gather.

"The recommendation for all the municipal presidents is that for all the neighborhoods that are designated today, on Tuesdays of geolocation, the activity of swap meets is not allowed, in these neighborhoods where they are actively transmitting the COVID-19," he mentioned.

In the case of Tijuana, the neighborhoods where active cases are registered and where greater precautions should be taken when traveling through them are:

  • Camino Verde/Grupo Mexico (13 active cases)
  • El Refugio (6 active cases)
  • Real de San Francisco (5 active cases)
  • Villa Fontana (5 active cases)
  • Abedules (4 active cases)
  • El Pípila (4 active cases)
  • Santa Fe 5th section (4 active cases)
  • Zona Río (4 active cases)

If you live in one of these neighborhoods, don't be surprised by the absence of these markets in the next few days.
