Tijuana on the rise in active COVID-19 cases; 488 in total

Tijuana not only remains in the 12th position of the top 20 municipalities with the most active cases in the country, it also leads the list of these cases in Baja California, going from 468 to 488 from one day to the next, bringing the state's total to one thousand 155 active cases.

In addition, after the last three months, the border city today ranks as the third municipality in the state with the highest incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants, which is 26.76, as reported by Secretary of Health Alonso Pérez Rico.

In turn, after registering 150 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, Tijuana has accumulated 12 thousand 269 positive cases, of the 35 thousand 616 that have been reported in the region.

According to Dr. Pérez Rico, of the 5 thousand 840 people who have lost the battle against COVID-19, 29 were recently registered in this city, adding up to 2 thousand 547.

According to the information presented by the head of the Ministry of Health, the hospitals that attend patients with COVID-19 in Tijuana are the most crowded, with a hospital occupation of 91%.

In general, hospitals in Baja California have an occupation of 76%, 220 beds and 165 ventilators available.
