Tijuana on the rise in active cases; 627 cases this Saturday

The border city is the second municipality where more Baja Californians have been infected by COVID-19

Tijuana is not only the second municipality in Baja California where more people have been infected by COVID-19 so far in the pandemic, after adding 13 thousand 933 positive cases, but also the border city reported 125 new cases out of the 245 that occurred in the state last Friday.

In addition, of the 42 Baja Californians who died recently from this disease, 16 occurred in Tijuana, totaling 2 thousand 851.

However, the pandemic is not over yet and this municipality started this Saturday with 627 active cases out of the one thousand 489 that are located in the state.

And despite the fact that hospital occupancy in the state is decreasing (58%), the hospitals in Tijuana are the most crowded, with 118 people hospitalized out of the 218 in the institutions belonging to the Ministry of Health. While the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has 149 of the 324 registered.

Today, Baja California continues to be under red light with 39 thousand 240 confirmed cases, 6 thousand 448 deaths and one thousand 477 suspected cases.
