Mexico close to two million COVID-19 cases

Cases of COVID-19 on the rise in Mexico

In the wake of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's announcement that he had tested positive for COVID-19, it has also been revealed that the total number of cases in the Mexican nation has finally risen to an outrageous 1 million 763 thousand infections.

According to information from the Ministry of Health (SS), today 10 thousand 872 more cases were confirmed (which are already in the total indicated at the beginning) as well as 530 more deaths, which in total estimate around 149 thousand 614 deaths due to the disease caused by the coronavirus.

During 5 consecutive days, nearly one thousand 400 deaths were recorded daily, causing the national mortality rate to rise slightly to 8.4%.

Currently, one million 320 thousand 448 patients have overcome the coronavirus.

Campeche continues to be the only state under a green light in the country, where 5 thousand 953 employees of the educational community have already been vaccinated in order to start classes as soon as possible.

Globally, Mexico continues to be in fourth place in the list of COVID-19 mortality, only behind India, Brazil and the United States.
