Since the beginning of the pandemic to date, COVID-19 infections in Baja California total 40 thousand 423, most of them registered in Mexicali after accumulating 15 thousand 737. Tijuana reports 14 thousand 443, Ensenada 5 thousand 938, San Quintín one thousand 647, Tecate one thousand 280, Rosarito 857 and San Felipe 521.

Of the 6 thousand 610 deaths that have occurred due to coronavirus in the state, 2 thousand 933 were in Tijuana, 2 thousand 528 in Mexicali, 881 in Ensenada, 169 in Tecate, 72 in San Quintín, 22 in Rosarito and five in San Felipe.

However, the active cases continue in the state, the same that give strength to the pandemic and as of Thursday morning those total one thousand 331, most of them concentrated in Tijuana, Mexicali and Ensenada, which have 574, 395 and 182 of these cases respectively.

Despite this, among the good news reported by the Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, is that the occupancy rate in the state's hospitals in general is 53.5%, and that the number of times the virus is reproducing is below one (0.75), which means that a person with COVID-19 can infect only one other person.

At the moment the cases that still remain suspicious are one thousand 551.
